Word Scramble

Today I made some new pillows for the benches on my deck. I wanted some vibrant colors to match the flowers. I think I still need an orange pillow, so I will have to search my fabric stash and see what I can come up with.

This  year I planted calla lillies in the center of many of my annual containers. I like the height it gives and the flowers never fail to be beauties. I save the callas every year by putting them underneath the crawl space of the house. It is unheated, but does not freeze. I just stick the entire pot (soil and all) under the house and do nothing with it until the next year.  I then just pull them out and start watering.

This old barrel is my favorite container. I planted callas and elephant's ear in the center with petunias. The green plant hanging down is licorice--I love the light green color of it and the contrast with the long purple plant (I do not know the name of this one).

See last year's deck by clicking here. The arrangement was totally different.
